Grow as a disciple

These five focus areas are the heart and soul of why we exist at Outreach Church.
We see them as building blocks to equip you to be a mature, fruitful disciple of Christ, enjoying a full and joyous relationship with him.

“ So Christ himself gave the apostles,
the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13

MAGNIFY

We celebrate God’s presence in our worship

Our first purpose at Outreach Church will be to express our love for God through worship. Everyone is invited to join us during our Sunday morning worship services.

“O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together.” Exodus 34:3

MEMBERSHIP

We bind together as
family in His love

Our second purpose at Outreach Church will be to help others belong to the church of Jesus Christ, not just believe. We are called to baptize all believers into the fellowship of the local church. Baptism is a symbol of a new life in Christ and it visualizes incorporation into the body of Christ, which we call membership.
“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household.” Ephesians 2:19

Maturity

We make fruitful
disciples in His image

Enabling the growth of each member as a maturing disciple of Jesus is our third purpose. That process helps members not just learn about Jesus, but to truly become more like Him in our thoughts, feelings and actions.
“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” Colossians 1:28

Ministry

We demonstrate Jesus’ love through service

Our fourth purpose is to demonstrate God’s love to others by meeting their needs and healing their hurts. Every time you reach out in love, you are ministering to them.

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:12

Mission

We share the Gospel
through evangelism

Our final purpose is to make disciples through communicating the Gospel of Jesus. It is every disciple’s responsibility to share in the joy of spreading the Good News wherever we go.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
